Prairie Five Meals and Chippewa County Food Shelf

The Food Hub houses a central kitchen that prepares meals for the Prairie Five Meals program and provides a larger client-choice food shelf for the Prairie Five Chippewa County Food Shelf. The Prairie Five Meals program serves eligible households throughout Big Stone, Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Swift, and Yellow Medicine counties. Centralizing the kitchen makes the program more efficient, while the expanded food shelf offers food rescue, fresh food options, and an improved shopping experience for anyone in need. Together, these improvements strengthen client experience and reduce food waste!
