Minnesota Know/Help

Minnesota Parents Know

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) announces the MNParentsKnow.info Web site has been expanded to include research-based information for parents of children from birth through age 5.

The expansion of Minnesota Parents Know supports Minnesota’s continued commitment to supporting parents as their child’s first and most important teacher.

The Minnesota Parents Know Web site, which offers Minnesota parents a convenient source for trusted knowledge on their child’s health, learning, development and safety. The information added for ages 1 through 5 is in addition to the infant information already available on the Web site. Ultimately, the department plans to include information through grade 12.

MNParentsKnow.info is hosted by the MDE and was developed as part of the Educate Parents Partnership, an early childhood initiative of Gov. Tim Pawlenty funded by the 2006 Legislature. The Web site was developed by the Department of Education in collaboration with the Department of Health, Department of Human Services and many other public and private organizations.
