Child Care Aware Grants

• Regional Grants:
  • Regional Grants are issued to current providers to assist in the purchase of items that will benefit and promote the growth of their program. Funds can be used for the purchase of a new curriculum, toys or equipment, household/outdoor safety items, or training and education. Regional Grant applications are available online through the program’s Develop Organization Account September 1–25 of each year. Grant funds are limited and awarded on a competitive basis; the Department of Children, Youth, and Families and Child Care Aware of Minnesota determine Regional Grant priorities.
• Start-up Grants:
  • Child Care Services Start-Up Grants assist child care providers and programs who are soon-to-be licensed or have been licensed for less than six months with purchasing items or making improvements that are required by licensing or the Fire Marshall. Funding is available year-round to help childcare programs with start-up costs. Funds are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Emergency Childcare Grant:

Family, Friend, & Neighbor Minnesota
